At over 7000 feet above sea level you are going to find the climate cool with perpetual mist and ample rainfall. It is the mist that gives the mountains a bluish appearance and that is why they are called the Jamaican Blue Mountains. Beans grown above 7000 feet above sea level are much larger and have a taste that is superior to beans cultivated in lower altitudes. Then you must take into consideration the mix of volcanic rich soil, high altitude and excellent drainage make the perfect recipe for this fine coffee.<br>The standard and quality of any Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee is incomparable with any other coffee in the world. The Coffee Industry Regulation Act established a very precise method of quality control for these beans. In Jamaica only Arabica beans are grown under very specific conditions are certified 100% Blue Mountain Coffee.
